Dermatophytes

چکیده
they contain small pieces of food, this likely contributes to their chance performance in their choices between strips in a support problem task, even in the simplest configurations. I should add that many of the problems encountered when comparing distantly related species may also apply to comparing members of the same taxonomic group or even the same species in different labs. Prosocial choices in chimpanzees, for example, seem to be highly sensitive to context and task. Even observational studies on different groups may reveal different results, as the post-conflict behaviour in chimpanzees has been shown to function as consolation for the victims of aggression in some groups, but as protection from redirected aggression in other groups. As flexibility is one of the key characteristics of higher cognitive systems, such variability should not be surprising. But understanding the contextual variation of given skills is everything else but simple, and seems likely to become a very hot topic in future research.

Agar-based disk diffusion assay for susceptibility testing of dermatophytes.
Currently, no agar-based susceptibility testing method has been standardized for testing dermatophytes. We describe a newly developed agar-based method employing disk diffusion assay to test the susceptibility of 47 isolates of dermatophytes against 8 antifungals. Our results show that the method is reproducible, is simple, and could be used to determine the antifungal susceptibility of dermato...
متن کاملIncidence of dermatophytes school soils of Visakhapatnam: A case study
In India a number of reports have appeared concerning the distribution of dermatophytes from various habits. However, there are very few reports on the occurrence and distribution of dermatophytes in soils of India. Keeping in view the microbiological and pathological importance of dermatophytes the present study was planned to find out their distribution in selected school soils of Visakhapatn...
متن کاملIsolation and characterization of dermatophytes with tinea infections at gwalior (m.p.), india
ABSTRACT:The present study determines the incidence of tinea infections and their dermatophytes in Gwalior (M.P.). Out of 83 samples with various infections 85.5 % were infected with dermatophytes. Among them, Tinea corporis was the highest, followed by tinea capitis. The total number of dermatophytes were 71, in which 10 species were identified. Trichophyton rubrum (42.3 %) was the most freque...
متن کاملIncidence of Fungalysins Virulence Genes (mep1-5) in Dermatophytes Isolated Form Infected Cases in Egypt
Received at: 19/11/2014 Accepted: 29/11/2014 Dermatophytes are filamentous fungi that belong to genera Trichophyton, Epidermophyton and Microsporium. Dermatophytes not only can cause a variety of dermatophytosis in animals but also can transmit to humans. During the course of infection, the severity of infection requires the release of specific enzymes that facilitate the penetration into the h...
متن کاملGenomic Linkage Analysis of Iranian Clinical Isolates of Dermatophytes Fungi Using the RAPD-PCR
Dermatophytes are a group of keratinophilic fungi capable of invading keratinized tissues (skin, hair and nails). They cause dermatophytosis (commonly known as tinea or Ring worm) in human and animals. In this report, DNA similarities and genomic linkage of 40 dermatophytes strains was obtained from different universities, were studied by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD–PCR) using 11 ra...
متن کاملIn vitro susceptibility testing of dermatophytes isolated from pediatric cases in Nigeria against five antifungals.
The antifungal activities of itraconazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole, terbinafine and griseofulvin were tested by broth microdilution methods against 71 isolates of dermatophytes isolated from Nigerian children. Most drugs were very active against all the dermatophytes and the MIC 90 ranged from 0.03 to 8.0 microg/mL. This appears to be the first documented data on the antifungal susceptibility...
